Just wanted to give a heads up to the ladies that a) are looking for a great weightlifting routine and b) have an iPhone or iPod touch.
I’ve been using the Nike Training Club app for a while now and it’s awesome! You can pick from a bunch of different workouts, some more cardio oriented, some more weights oriented, and you can pick a fitness level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and even a length of workout! (35 or 45 min). Then you pick your music and start.
A trainer will cut in over the music and tell you what exercise to do, and for how long, and when time is up it will beep at you and tell you what exercise to do next. Bonus: they also provide pictures and instructions of each exercise, and if you still don’t get it a video of someone doing the exercise.
Definitely give it a shot if you’re looking to shake your routines up a little bit!
(Note: Some, but not all, routines require dumbbells and/or a medicine ball. The trainer will tell you at the beginning. If it doesn’t require equipment you just need space! No need for a gym. :))
