Rant ahead, fair warning.
I’ve worked a few reality TV shows and yeah, most of what you see isn’t real (yes there is always a producer drumming up drama or multiple “takes” of “reality” that has been staged and set dressed and orchestrated) and the people are much worse and more fame greedy than you can imagine. It takes a certain kind of person to be willing to expose their life to the public in the first place, and that person plus insta fame not based on talent is often unpleasant.
and stupid, because no matter how we tried to warn them they never think it will happen to them and it often does. The truth gets out, the public turns on them, and their attitude has been so crappy that no one will help them.
in Hollywood the saying is be nice to people on your way up because they are the same people you’ll meet on your way down. This applies to life as well, the shorter version is: karma is a b*tch.
Many of these people are absolutely horrid. That is what makes them fun to watch, and they are cast for that reason. Producers look for the biggest jerks/train wrecks, the most likely to cause problems, etc.
TL;dr it’s pointless to try to find whose side you think is the morally right side in reality tv. You don’t have the facts, it’s manufactured drama put on by people who are willing to sell their souls for a price. Lesson is, don’t use people.
Party pooper out😂
