I just recently started my search and asked a friend about places in NJ since I don’t know Jersey at all. She replied with a WEALTH of info, and I thought I would share
To start.. Places which most likely are out of your price range although all gorgeous. I think they are the most expensive in the area.
W hotel- although if you can swing this its gorgeous lol
Rockeigh Country Club
North Jersey- expensive but might not be as expensive as the city
“the go to Italian favorites”…. You can’t go wrong with these places. We have been to numerous weddings for all of them. Great food, gorgeous wedding halls, run by Italians, and if you ask to pay cash some might allow you no tax (ours did)
Valley Regency, Clifton- we got married there. Beautiful and renovated
Westmont Country Club, West Paterson
Venetian, – not sure what city
Nanina’s in the Park- Belleville and Park Savoy, Florham park- same owners and Park Savoy recently renovated.
Madison Hotel- they have a room called the conservatory. If your wedding isn’t too big, you might be able to do the reception there. It’s one big greenroom. Really cool and attached to hotel
Seasons – more than one function but still pretty popular
Tides Estate, North haledon- hit or miss. some love some hate- we went to a really nice wedding there on New Year’s day b/c she got a great deal
Highlawn Pavilion, west orange- my cuz got married there a million years ago but I know you can see the city
Crystal Plaza- I actually love this place. very popular with Jewish weddings and Bar Mitzvah.
Manor- West Orange- never been to a wedding there but seen it and like it
Atrium, West orange- Cool outside room, wasn’t thrilled with inside room but they may have renovated since then
Il Tulipano- nice venue
Newark Club- interesting venue…. very corporate.. cocktail is basically in main lobby of building, take elevators up to main room. It fit the couple whose wedding we went too. everything was really nice just different
Grand Summit- I have a connection… My old boss is the general manager
South Gate Manor, Freehold- just renovated and really really nice. Jess actually just booked her wedding there for Oct.
Addison Hotel- never been but recently renovated and alot of people have said great things..
***Solar De Minho- Rahway- Joe’s cuz got married here. If you wanted to do an indoor ceremony, it had by far the most beautiful setting. Stone walls with fireplace. Intimate. Food and service were good.
By the beach/water
The Mill at Spring Lake, Spring Lakes Heights- was one of my top choices as well. Lovely grounds. went to mother’s day brunch there.
Bonnet Island- off LBI- not sure you want to go that far or how many pp you have but the concept is really cool.
Mcloones in Long Branch- LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Was one of my top choices but too small. Entire room is glass and on the beach.
Oyster Point or Molly Pitcher Inn, Red Bank- I actually don’t think I have ever been there but I know alot of pp who have and who have looked for their wedding but room wasn’t big enough. Red Bank is such a great town that might be worth checking out.
Berkeley Hotel, Asbury- hearing good things about it but never been. I think they just renovated
Breakers in Spring Lake- been there and nothing bad to say
Avenue, Long Branch- will do 4 hour cocktail hour
Ocean Place in Long Branch- coolest thing is they will do a bonfire for rehearsal dinner. I was in love with this place and almost booked. The issue is if the weather isn’t nice, its just a ballroom in a hotel.
Crystal Point Yacht Club, Point Pleasant- probably one of the bigger rooms you will find by the beach.
Some unusual and might have more character
Oakside Mansion, Belleville- Never been but we pass it all the time. Not sure how many people fit but could be an option
Crystal Springs Resort- might be able to make a weekend out of it
Shadowbrook in Shrewsbury- some love and some hate… its an old mansion
***Tim McLoone’s Supper Club- Asbury- dont know much about it but looks like a restaurant that does weddings. This is what the website says…Reminiscent of a 1930’s and 1940’s NYC Supper Club. This non-traditional oceanfront setting will create the perfect ambiance for a night you and your guests will never forget …
Waterside Restaurant, North Bergen, Charthouse in Weehawken and Liberty House, Jersey City- Probably all expensive but might be worth looking into if you want to see the city
Skylands Manor at NJ Botanical Garden, Ringwood- went to a 1st bday party there but our friends have more money than they know what to do with….
River Queen, Brielle- found this while searching. It’s on a boat if you wanted something different
Tarrytown NY- dont’ know any specific places but if you want to get out of the city, I heard its a neat town to get married.
I wouldn’t bother looking into these places….
The Somerset Palace- Alana got married there and it’s really really big and over the top. Nothing intimate about it.
Brownstone in Paterson- gross
Pantagis in Scotch Plains- they advertise alot. Its a wedding factory
