I am also in FL, and we almost booked that place! It’s in the Ocala National Forest, right? We are getting married at O’leno State Park instead, but what a funny coincidence! I’m not sure I’m much help, but the building we’re getting married in doesn’t have a/c either. We are planning on having an evening ceremony so that it’s hopefully a little cooler, but other than that, I’m not sure what else we can do. Crank up the ceiling fans and open the windows, I suppose.

Hand fans for the ladies as favors, ceiling fans, maybe a bunch of back up fans in strategic points? And a looooot of water

@Hirondelle:  +1!!

Maybe you could get a water mister? I’ve seen some outdoor places have little misting gazebos to help cool people down outside! Something like this? http://www.meijer.com/s/misty-mate-cool-patio-20-outdoor-misting-system-20-feet/_/R-131638

Or, you could always build some redneck air conditioners with a fan, a cooler, and some ice, hahaha! If you decorate the outside, maybe nobody will know!

It’s going to be so hot that time of year to not have A/C.  Definitely make sure to provide lots of water and hand fans.  I would also try to get the info around by word of mouth so guests can dress lighter and not overheat in full suits and gowns.  If you can afford it, rent fans and A/C units for at least a small area in case someone gets over heated or grandma can’t stand the heat.

Honestly, I would have recommended having the wedding in February or March instead so that it’s not so hot.  Maybe you’ll get lucky with an unseasonably cool day; we did have a 70 degree day here in Orlando in early June and it was a lovely reprieve from the heat.

Also, I wouldn’t be using candles for centerpieces because they will emit even more heat into the building.  Use battery operated cool lights instead.

It is a beautiful venue so I get why you booked it.

Also, for Oleno State Park, have you spoke with someone there about what buildings are available for use? Thank you!

FutureMrsMezo:  Hi! I was thinking of having my wedding there in April 2015. It’s so pretty. I was also concerned with the heat, how did your wedding go?
