I wasn’t planning to get a wedding band. I liked the look of the e-ring by itself. I chose the style not planning to have a band with it. Fast forward to now and we’re eloping in January and I decided I do want a band ha! So I was on the no-bandwagon until a few weeks ago. Then I saw all these cool pics with bands and have whole new vision. I think it’s totally normal to not want a band, I think one ring can easily serve as both! I’m not getting an expensive or fancy band and might not end up wearing it or swapping it out for different ones. So it won’t have like a big emotional meaning at all.

I have a band, but I almost always wear them seperately because I prefer how it looks. I wear the band to work out of convenience (it’s a dental office, so lots of glove wearing and hand washing), and on weekends and evenings when I’m out and about I wear my e-ring. At home I don’t wear either.

New here and was wondering this myself. My e ring is being custom made and will have a split shank with stones in between two half eternity bands. We’d have to find a curved band or have one made and the ring is already going to be pretty wide.

I love the look of my dainty engagement ring (1.8 mm band) and was planning on getting an equally thin wedding band. My mother in law ended up buying wedding bands for my husband and I as a surprise gift and I do not love how it looks with my engagement ring as it is far wider. I now wear my engagement ring by itself on my left hand and my wedding band on my right hand, so my engagement ring is the only one that I wear on my ring finger and I still love the look. My best friend never wanted a wedding band at all so only wears her engagement ring.

I wear my band on my right hand and my engagement ring on my left, so I have a foot in both camps. I have cultural and religious reasons for wearing them separately but I also like the look.
