@alishaloo:  Aww, that’s so so sweet!

I don’t have a band, and my dh hadn’t chosen his at the time of our wedding, so we didn’t have anything to exchange at all. Fortunately in our religion they aren’t a big deal. You can exchange them after the ceremony, but it’s not part of it, so we just skipped them all together. On the one hand I wish we’d had something to exchange, but on the other when I went to my cousins wedding and saw how understated it was I was glad we didn’t stress about it.

@alishaloo:  We are! I know a lot of people who have many friends and family who aren’t lds will have a more formal ring exchange outside of the temple, but most of our friends and family are, so we weren’t worried about that part. It’s interesting, I’ve only been to one lds temple wedding besdies mine, but they just stood off to the side of the alter and exchanged the rings, no words or anything. So different from the other weddings I’ve been to!

My rings were already soldered together but we just gave them to the best man and did a ring exchange during the ceremony as usual.
