Just a little vent here. I first of all do not like attention all on me. Which is making
getting married a little hard because I am so shy. My Maid/Matron of Honor is barely doing anything
for the wedding, I did give her ONE thing to handle and it is STILL NOT – hair and makeup.
I am getting married exactly in ONE MONTH and am so nervous. I was happy up until now, but feel like I am the only one in this. I do not think she knows that she should be throwing a bridal shower, and feel just a little bit sad, like I will be missing out 🙁
I guess if I don’t have a bridal shower it’s not the end of the world, but really would like one…………………..

Hey, I understand how you’re feeling. My Maid/Matron of Honor is the only bridal party member (or member of my family) that lives in my state. I also don’t think she’s aware she should be throwing a bridal shower. She’s really preoccupied with her new boyfriend, and doesn’t even ask about the wedding anymore. (She’s also my FI’s sister).
But you know what? It is what it is. Yes, I wish I was having a bridal shower. I even had quite a few sad moments about not having a bridal shower. But I’ve thought a lot about it, and I’m just happy I’m able to have a wedding and all my friends and family can come into town for that.
Look forward to your wedding… you’re getting married in a MONTH! How exciting! Maybe lean on another bridesmaid and mention you’d like to get together for a bachlorette party… even if its just a low key night, it’ll be nice to have another occassion to celebrate with your friends.
The shower isn’t everything. The purpose of all of this is to get married! Congrats, and enjoy!

Thanks, I know but I guess from reading all the stuff on this website
it makes you think, “oh, I should be doing this or having that”. When in all reality it is what it is.
My other bridesmaids are my daughters, so that’s kinda out of the question, oldest one is 20, almost legally old enough to drink, lol………………..
I am marrying my best friend and all these details will not matter, just the bond between us, right?
