I know the feeling.  I have a few, but they all live really far away.  It’s just me and Fiance down here.  It’s tough to make friends once you are done with college.

I know the feeling too. I work from my home and don’t really go out that much so I have 1 BFF that is closeby and a ton of friends online that are all over the place. I have a couple that are somewhat nearby but still a couple hour drive away.

I’m in the same boat as you are. It can get lonely sometimes, however think of all the drama you have avoided (reading from WB, there are a lot of drama between friends, and family members when it comes to planning the wedding).

Me too…I have 2 close friends but both live in different states. I’ve been doing wedding stuff with my Mom and occasionally with DF’s two sisters. I agree that it is hard to meet people after college, and everyone I work with it much older than me.

I can totally relate, many of my friends live in different states and my Maid/Matron of Honor who does live in my city, is finishing up grad school and dating a ton!

I wish I had more close friends to do wedding DIY and bounce ideas off of. I guess that’s why we have each other and the wedding bee boards, right?

I have maybe 2 Friends considering they are my FIance’s Friends Wife/Fiance.  No Bridemaids and my Wedding is 100 Days away…

I feel the same! Both my bridesmaids are in the same city as me, but with the amount we all work, I rarely get together with them in normal circumstances!

aint no shame in doing it with your Fiance 🙂 He’s actually the one I took dress shopping with me because my lady pals don’t care for wedding stuff

You are not alone.  I’m not wedding planning, but I don’t have any one to hang out with either.  All my close friends, who I met in high school, live in different states.  I just haven’t been able to make any close friends since college.  Friend making after college has been tough.

I had no family around, and no friends :/  I had just moved, so it was really difficult!  But you deserve a great day, so make the most of it however you can.  I got a dress online because I didn’t really have anyone to go shopping with at the time.  It was definitely difficult.  My one “friend” who was around had just had a baby and was totally (is totally) self-obsessed.  You aren’t the only one!  At least you have Fiance.  It was challenging, but I am just glad to be married, that’s what matters!

I have 1 close friend (who’s my MOH) but I hate to do all the wedding stuff with her because I’m sure it would be so boring for her and just annoying (especially since she’s going through a divorce right now). I went wedding dress shopping alone and I felt like I missed out on the experience that other women get who are surrounded by women for the dress shopping. I have my SIL as my only other Bridesmaid or Best Man and I spent more time with both of them watching them try on dresses then i even did for myself. Makes me feel like they don’t really care as much about me and how I look as they do about themselves. I’m sure they’re not being that way to be mean to me, they are good people. I’ve found it hard to make more friends after college too.

Anyway, you’re not alone in feeling the way you do. ANd other posts above are right, at least we all have our SO’s!!

Yeah, I’m the same way.  In fact, this wedding process has made me realize what a shut-in I’ve become.  I moved 2000 miles away from my hometown and really haven’t made any friends out of sheer laziness and it’s kind of depressing.  I know I have friends that I could do wedding stuff with but they’re all back in Michigan!  It really is so hard to make friends after college. I just don’t know how people do it!!!

Ditto.  I wrote about it here a little while ago.  And I was just talking to Fiance about how my dress fitting is tomorrow and I’m gonna be going by myself.  And that the whole “squeal” and “girls’ day outs” and “ladies to vent to” is really part of the whole being a bride thing.  I’m not having any bridesmaids, no wedding party at all.  But honestly, it is what it is.  Wish I was in TN so we could hang out and talk wedding, wedding, WEDDING!!!  LOL  {{{HUGS}}}
