My friend just did this! She had cake as well but she had pizza delivered at 8 and it was a HUGE hit. I would suggest doing it a little later because people we gone by 10 but it was still awesome!

We had cake, but ended up with a bunch left over because people were drinking (we had an open bar).  I don’t drink, and I love cake, so this worked out perfectly for me (cake for breakfast!) and I ended up eating all the leftover cake within a week after my wedding.  If you’re not going to eat cake and your guests are drinking, you probably only need 3 servings for every 4 guests.

Love late night pizza, tacos, burgers at weddings, 1030 seems like a good time. As a guest I’d miss the dessert. I’ve been spoiled by kick ass Viennese hours.

Mmm, that sounds like a great (and delicious) idea!  I think it would be a big hit – I always prefer pizza over desserts.

Definitely agree that dessert is generally underappreciated at weddings. I think a post-dinner pizza is an awesome idea!

The cake is my favorite part of a wedding reception, but I do notice there is always nearly a half cake left over. I suspect that the “pieces” described by the bakers must be gigantic.  I think there is leftover cake because couples order one that is more than they actually need.

Not gonna lie…I gave into some late night pizza last night…..

IT WAS PERFECTION.  I REGRET NOTHING.

Maybe have some sweets for the people who don’t like pizza? Or leave cake slices mixed with the pizza slices so people can choose what they want?
