I’d explain to him that the idea of just a plain band makes you feel uneasy. I’d be kinda upset too! Maybe he is very traditional but even back in the olden days they had bling!

    i’m confused, too.

regardless, i ended up with a (little less than) half eternity for my band, but there is something that I think is really classic about plain bands.

Why not get a diamond ring for your right hand? Not technically an “engagement ring.” Just a beautiful gift from your husband. Would he be ok with that?

Well I’m glad he compromised, respected your feelings and bought you an ering anyway. I would feel very naked just having a plain wedding band?! Is he aware that having a stone/diamonds are the norm these days and even back then?

It strikes me as being a very European attitude!

But of course bling isn’t a big deal to him–He doesn’t to wear the bling,

He still has your birthday, valentines Day, Christmas, groundhog day and St. Patrick day jewelry to buy you if he doesn’t believe in upgrades or anniversary bands πŸ˜€

It’s not a bad thing to be a bit frugal, having money to cover all your bills will be nice in your old age.
