Nope, you are not the only one. I never knew about them until I joined weddingbee a few months ago. You see I have never been marriage minded and avoided all things wedding before, WELL, before I was actually getting married..lol

We didn’t have them done, didn’t really see the point and my husband hates posing for photos. He (love him!) looks like he’s in pain for half of our wedding photos – the really good ones are the ones where he doesn’t realize he’s being photographed!

We aren’t doing them. We both really wanted to but now we are pretty much out of time and have blown the wedding budget already. So, we are skipping them.

Nope, way too much money for people who hate getting their pictures taken as it is! Wedding day will be enough!

ETA: Well, not counting regular pics we might take ourselves, like, force ourselves to pose at the beach or whatever, but no photo shoot/photog

Nope- we’re not. Having a 6-month engagement, so no engagement party/photos. We’re not doing newspaper announcements, so there’s really no point for us (plus that $500+ could be well spent somewhere else!)

The only reason we had them done was because it was part of the photography package. Otherwise, I don’t know that I would’ve been able to convince Darling Husband to do them!

We just had ours taken this afternoon!  Haha.  Like Melisslp, ours were discounted with our wedding package.  I figure I might as well document our pre-kids youth while I can.  😛

We weren’t going to. I wanted to but couldn’t justify the money. But then a lovely $99 Groupon came along!

@Juliepants:  Oh YAY!!

I’m the same as @Juliepants:  &@melisslp:  They were included in my package. I am getting my Maid/Matron of Honor to do a summer mini shoot of us more relax and fun.

You could always have someone do a fun shoot of you two and DIY. 😀

I don’t think you are odd at all.I know alot of people who didn’t/are not getting them done. We had some inexpensive pro instudio ones done & we did some DIY ones which I love that was free.

Not having them. We don’t mind posing for pictures, we could easily afford it, we just frankly find them silly and they always (sorry ladies who are into e-pix, but seriously, i.mo. always) look so cheesy, even if they’re trying not to. And we wouldn’t even know what to do with them, our save the dates were picture free…people are hanging them up to remember the date, I don’t want our faces on their fridge all year! haha. Plus after 5 years together we have tons of great pix together, and even some professional ones (from cruises etc) so if we DID need a picture of us, we have plenty anyway…
