- Wedding: March 2010
So I just go toff the phone with my Fiance and he mentioned that at the rehearsal dinner his parents are making “goodie bags”……… I said “don’t you think that will be a little weird since we are not doing a favor at the wedding?” He goes, “oh yeah. My mom thought that once you saw these you would do them for the wedding too.”
Father-In-Law: we have been through this before. You are not planning another wedding. You are planning a rehearsal dinner. Thank you for planning it, however, you do need to keep in mind this is not another wedding. There is no need for 100 people to be invited to it when 170 will be at the wedding. 40 people or less will be fine. If there is no favor at the wedding, it will look weird if there is a goodie bag at the rehearsal dinner. This is your son getting married not a daughter. Please stop pushing things on me as if I HAVE to do them. Your son and I agreed that our money could go to a better cause. We are not having favors! I do not, and I do not appreciate that you keep doing random sh!t like this. Cut it out.
