I think it’s absolutely fine to skip the favors.   And a hot dog stand sounds great (do some veggie dogs if you have very many veggie friends)

I almost didn’t bother with favors either.  Favors are one of those things that half of your guests won’t even notice and the other half will obsess over how cute they are.  You could probably just leave a few Hershey’s kisses on each plate in your wedding colors, and the people who want favors will be happy enough.

Personally, I think having a hot dog stand is way cooler than having favors!

I got the best wedding favor ever at a wedding I went to that had a photo booth!!! The photo strip was the wedding favor I loved it and all the guests loved it, there was a line at the booth. I will defiantly have a photo booth at mine.

I think that not having favors is perfectly fine! I feel the same way that people either don’t notice them or some take them and do nothing with them. We are considering putting the money towards donations for a charity.

@Inkypoo- I love the idea of including your kids in making the favors. What a perfect way for them to be involved.

We didnt have favors at our wedding and I dont think anyone cared! I struggled with this for a while and had SO many ideas but in the end just not enough time to do something or not enough money for something else. I didnt even think about this on my wedding day and I really dont think anyone cares – we served great food, great drinks, yummy cake, and had a LOT of fun – a little trinket wouldnt add any more to it! 🙂

I’ve never cared about favors and have never heard anyone complain about a lack of favors at weddings that didn’t have them.  We did a donation instead.  The hot dog stand sounds like fun 🙂

I like the idea of a donation. I say either way though, it’s fine to skip the favors.

@Kristina88:

We’re not doing favors either. I like the hot dog stand idea. We’re actually having late-night pizza since we’re having an earlier dinner around 5p but reception lasts until midnight.

I usually like favors (as long as they’re useful or edible), but if I had the choice between a favor or a hot dog, I’d pick hot dog.
