Favours are never necessary at a wedding. Many times they are left behind on the tables.

Your sweet shop will be plenty.

I am definitely not having favors. All of my friends who had them list having them among their regrets-their were tons left over/no one took them and/or cared.

We choose not to do favors, but instead donate the money we would have spent on favors to  our local SPCA.  I know some people are against this idea on the Bee, but it’s our wedding and it is something we support wholeheartedly.  I figured this was a better use of our money than something guests will probably leave behind or throw out anyway.

That sounds perfect. I hate those little wedding favors that just get tossed in the garbage after you leave.

Your sweet shop sounds much better than favors..I really don’t want to have favors as I’m having a photo booth but my mom is insisting on having them because she says the older crowd will miss them and they won’t use the photo booth

we had intentions of doing favors but… who knew chocolate would melt in delivery in March to Florida?   NOT this girl.  Rather than chisel the solid melted block of chocolate for favors, we just didn’t have any. No one cared.

I’m planning on having live, potted plants as decorations, and allowing people to take them home.  That way the floral stuff and the favors are taken care of in one go.  (I’m not a big flower person, so this seems a lot nicer to me than some kind of giant/extravagant arrangements.)

@nearly-mrs-R  I am also doing a candy bar as favors and im going to get little Thank you stickers t seal them with so people know theyre favours and Im not going to open the sweet bar until late so people dont start grabbing them halfway through cocktail hour because theyre bored.

Were also donating money to charity and in return they give us those little wrist bands. Theyre going in a bowl for people to take and if people dont want to support a cancer charity for whatever reason they can just go without
