- Wedding: May 2011
Hi ladies, it’s been a while since my last post but here I am… 4 days before the wedding.
I really wanted to do the dance that Uma Thurman and John Travolta do in Pulp Fiction for our first dance; it’s one of our favorite movies, and my fiance and I aren’t really the slow-dance types. Well, even after months of asking him to practice, my fiance finally said that last night he wasn’t going to be able to do it. He’s not a big dancer, and I think he would have been fine if he had only started practicing early, but it never happened… so here we are.
We aren’t going to have father/daughter mother/son dances anyway. Now we’re thinking we’re not going to have a first dance at all. Is this really weird? Has anyone heard of a wedding without a first dance?
Honestly, I’m really crushed that we’re not going to be able to do the Chuck Barry song… I thought it would have been really unique and fun and entertaining for our guests. But I definitely don’t want to just rock back and forth in a slow dance either. So this seems like the best option at this point. :/
