(Closed) No First Dance?

We’re actually skipping the dance floor as well as the bouquet/garter toss completely. I have always just found it to be a bit akward and borderline tacky ( even if it is “tradition”). I say go for it(or rather, don’t :p )

Might be a good idea. i had decided to skip the garter/bouquet tosses as well. What’s one more tradition tossed to the wind?

We’re not doing it. SO doesn’t dance. He’s about as laid-back and easy going as they go, but he really hates frills and rituals and things like that. And I KNOW that the ceremony is mostly about the bride (subject to debate), but I don’t want a ceremony or reception where I know he is uncomforable and grinding it out for ME. But I’m not into all the formal stuff either. We aren’t going to have a “first dance.” Do what makes you comfortable and happy!
