We’re not having any sort of bridal party. To signify the start of the ceremony the music will change (or start just then) and my Fiance will process down the aisle. Or at least that’s how I imagine it. Hopefully everyone will get the hint.

@Chiotilidieo:  Good question!  HAHA We haven’t decided yet.  I’ve been so focused on just getting my major vendors booked that I haven’t thought much about the ceremony yet.

We thought we didn’t want to have a flower girl or ring bearer but this story cemented our decision:  In my FMIL’s wedding, their flower girl decided during the middle of the very formal procession that she wanted to be DOG.  She got down on all fours and walked up the aisle that way, barking.  Once she got to the front row pew, she LIFTED HER LEG on it, acting like she was peeing.  The priest looked on in absolute horror… LOL  My favorite part?  Today, thirty years later, she is a dog groomer!!!!

We’re not having either — no little ones in the family. 🙁

I’m not the children type of person nor do I know anyone (close enough) that have children, so I’m not having ring boy for flower girl. At first I thought it’s weird not to follow the tradition, then I thought to myself I’m just going to have the wedding “our way”. In away it saves money because I don’t have to pay for their expenses.

@LGenz: I love your idea of having the dog as ring bearer. I wish I could use my cat. My cat doesn’t like to go out of the apt, and when there are strangers, she runs and hide.

We are not having either.  We are not having any children at the wedding or the reception, we just don’t want them there.

@meladoug: That little girl sounds AWESOME haha

We haven’t finalized the ceremony yet but I imagine my Fi will walk down first with his parents, then my mom, then a bm with our dog (so on and so forth).

We didn’t have either – just didn’t know any young kids!

Yeah the dog as ring bearer idea is cute in theory but “Artie” is not really well behaved so god knows what he is going to do.

Not bad or weird at all. Children aren’t even invited.

We didn’t have any as we didn’t know any children that young.  It is fine without!

We had neither.  I love the dog idea and I wish we could have had our dog be the “ring bearer”.  No one thought it was weird and children were invited to the wedding.
