How curious that you consider a flowergirl or ringbearer to be traditional! I thought they were rather new-fangled! Our best man will be holding our rings- which we thought was the traditional way to go.

The only way I’ll have a ring bearer is if my dog can attend! I’m having an adult only ceremony as well.

Our wedding was last June, we didn’t have a Flower Girl or Round Brilliant. We actually had too many options between my siblings and my husbands siblings so to avoid any heartaches or any hurt feelings we just didn’t have any kids in the wedding party. We had kids sit in for the ceremony but then switched to an all adults reception with of course providing the kids to be taken care by us since it was a destination wedding. After all the headaches that the parents gave us about switching to an all adult reception, in the end, the adults were glad that it was set up that way and everyone had a good time including the kids.

We’re not having either of them. For one, we’re not inviting anybody under 18 to our wedding, and we don’t know anybody in the right age range if we did. I’ve been a flower girl in weddings about 20 years ago, and I don’t know if it’s because of that, but the tradition seems kind of dated to me.
