The church recently told us that we can’t have flower petals. No real. No fake. None. They suggested purchasing “large rubber bands” to decorate the pews. Yuck.
So what should I do to decorate the isle that’s ellegant but economical, and not flower peddle related?

@buzzingalong: What are flower peddles? If you mean flower petals, the church is likely concerned about clean up.
You can make an aisle runner where the silk petals are glued to the runner so there is no mess.
There are also a zillion other ideas for aisle decor.

@buzzingalong: Rubber bands? I don’t even know what this means! 🙂 Can you dim the lights at your church? What about battery operated LED candles? They are very pretty and realistic..we had them at our wedding and it looked great. We got them for a decent price at Costco 🙂

@buzzingalong: Those rules are so strange to me! Who would want to decorate with rubber bands? lol

@buzzingalong: Yeah, I am not getting this, but like a PP said go for candles.
Does this mean no flowers at all? Because you can not have the petals fall off the flowers? Or just no flower girl throwing them?

Maybe you should check into getting an isle runnar.

Rubber bands.. O.O
I would go with candles… or if you are having a blingtastic wedding… chandeliers on stands. You could decorate with tulle or organza. Or use fake pomanders.

First off: Sorry for the spelling error! You all knew what I meant.
Secondly: The rubber bands were a mystery to me too. I think she meant to put the rubber bands around the sids of the pew to hold something up? Sounded tachy to me.
Lastly: I like the idea of the candles a lot. Though the wedding will be at 10am, so will that look odd? I think this means no flowers thrown and/or on the ground. Thank you for the isle runner ideas. Much appreciated.
