We didn’t do the garder toss, either. I still wore it (it was also my something blue). My Maid/Matron of Honor made it for me :).

I’ll probably wear one but I doubt we will do the garter toss.. Our wedding is pretty small and other than a small handful mostly everyone will already be married..

I am not doing one and I will not be wearing one. If I want to feel sexy I will probably buy some cute undies and lingerie to change into that night (although lingerie is usually wasted on him, God help me…)

We’re not doing a bouquet or garter toss. I don’t like the concept. I’m not going to bother wearing one either. I don’t really see the point if it serves no purpose.

I’m glad I’m not the only one!  I don’t like the garter toss tradition at all.  I would feel like something on display.  Oh, and I don’t want our grandparents, my professors, and my new family to watch my husband pull my skirt up my thigh.  Yuck!

My bridesmaids have given me a hard time about this one.  They keep saying, but your going to have SEX on your wedding night, and everyone KNOWS it!

And to that I respond, “Yeah, but we’re not doing it in front of ALL OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY!”

We’re still doing a bouquet toss though, because I like the tradition 🙂

we didn’t do that tradition (I always found it awkward :-P) and I didn’t wear a garter either. I can’t imagine wearing one in normal life so it didnt’ really make sense to wear one for the wedding without the garter toss

Definitely no garter toss here, and while I’ll be wearing some sexy things I won’t wear a garter.

I think the garter toss is tacky so I’m not doing it either. Haven’t decided if I’ll wear one or not. It could be sexy at the end of the night, but it could also be uncomfortable during the wedding.

I wore one to the ceremony but not the day of our reception (we did them different days).  I wanted to have a small fun surprise for my hubby, and we ended up with this (I think) awesome picture:

ETA: we didn’t do a garter or bouquet toss either since neither of us felt comfy doing so.

We didn’t do one, but I DID wear an actual old-fashioned garter belt with stockings instead of just a garter. Sadly, the straps were just a tad too long and wouldn’t stay put, so I had to change into slacks after a few hours, but it was all good.

I am not a fan of seeing the groom reach up the bride’s skirt…it’s just sort of awkward, imo.

We’re not doing the traditional garter toss (we might modify it by adding a gift card and tossing it to all the men, not just the single ones, same with my bouquet, but it’s definitely not going to be coming from under my dress, and Fiance won’t be publicly removing anything, lol), but I think I will wear one anyway, at least on the honeymoon if not the first night.

I dislike the symbolism and I’m uncomfortable with that kind of act in front of family and friends.  However, Fiance wants me to wear one, so I will, just for him to see later.
