(Closed) No gift at a shower…send a thank you note?

    I’d give it a couple of weeks, and if the gifts don’t show up, send them a note thanking them for attending.

    @phillybride61513:  Guests should NEVER be thanked for attending.  It can be seen as fishing for gifts.  Thank guests for gifts, as those who attended the shower, were thanked for coming via you at the event, and through the hospitality of the host.

    Ooh I think you should always thank someone for attending. Just keep it light and thank them so much for sharing the day with you, and how it was so wonderful to see them. FI’s family would die if we didn’t send thank you cards, regardless of receiving a gift or not!
