(Closed) No gifts from a lot of guests

I live in NY and it is definitely not common for guests to not bring a gift. Two individuals didn’t bring a gift to my wedding (no card) and I admit I was aggravated. For maybe a few minutes. 

That being said, I would NEVER ever bring that up to them or pull the “I’m just making sure your check wasn’t lost” card. No. To me that is much more rude than them not bringing a card or gift! I was not raised that way.

Don’t you realize that when you approach people like this, they’re obviously going to lie out of humiliation and say yes it must be lost? You’re essentially forcing people to write you a check. Disgraceful.
