don’t stress.  most people buy the week or even the day before.  or will give you money.

also, many times the gift is purchased but the registry doesn’t reflect it.

Some guests will even look at the items, and then go to the store to buy them, never checking it off on the registry site.

I wouldn’t stress.  A lot of people shop really close to the shower date.  A sometimes due to different reasons items do not get checked off on the registry.

Some times the cashier doesn’t take the gift off the registry. I am that guest that buys a gift the day before the shower.

I’m THAT person who often buys the present on my way to the shower,..

A shower is a gift giving event so I’m sure people will buy presents for it. There’s not much point to attend otherwise.

I would totally freak out if I were you. You should probably call everyone invited to your shower and wedding to see when they are going to buy you presents.

Idk if it’s a Latino thing or just in my friends and family. But I’ve never been to a wedding where they have a registry.

If Target’s registry system is anything like their inventory system, it’s possible every item there has been purchased twice and it never updated to reflect it.  It’s also possible that people saw what you registered for there and found the same item elsewhere for a better price.  The registry is a guideline, not a list of requirements.  If there are items you registered for that were real need items, mention it to your folks.  They can spread word around that, for instance, your roof sprang a leak at a really inopportune moment and now, after your wedding is already set and determined and vendors have their downpayments, you desperately need some Lowe’s gift cards.  But if it’s not a matter of emergency needs outside your immediate scope, just let it go and be surprised.
