Sort of. Due to the length and colour of my dress I had to get plain shoes with 5 inch heels in a dark nude shade. I ended up with lovely peep toe Michael Kors. They are very comfy because of the platform and best of all, very reasonably priced. They aren’t really ‘wedding’ looking shoes but I’m happy that I’ll get lots of wear out of them.

I bought a pair of champagne flats from WalMart for $6. I’m a pretty simple woman, haha.
Try zappos.com. Lots of my friends have had luck finding stylish, affordable shoes on that site.

Not at all. I bought my heels at Macy’s during one of their sales so they were like $60, and I just bought my reception sandals at Macy’s for $52. They had a buy 3 get X% off, and my wedding is beach-side so they were perfect for all of us.

BEYONDBEAUTY1221 : well I bought two pairs – a pair of badgley mischka wedges at $215 and a pair of Tieks ballet flats at $235. So I guess in totally i spent over $400….
futuremrssousa : pro tip: get your tieks early and BREAK THEM IN. Seriously, they need it – I didn’t realize this and thought they were supposed to be out-of-the-box perfect…and hour of walking later my feet were really unhappy. But about a week later now and they’re almost perfect!

I had a very clear vision of what I wanted and I was able to get mine custom designed and made by Shoes of Prey. They were great! And comfortably under $400. 🙂

I got these pretty shoes that didn’t last me through the ceremony. They hurt so bad that I took them off directly after walking into the parking lot. I changed into a pair of sparkly smechers memory foam wedges and dances all night.
I just went to a wedding this past Saturday and had a shoe dilemma again….the pretty ones or the comfy ones…..
So glad I chose the comfy ines. I danced all night while all the other women were hobbling around complaining.

haileyblue : Heel twins! Seriously every time I show someone they freak over how cute they are. I think I bought mine for $80, so $60 is quite the steal! I then bought some sparkly keds for my reception/when-my-feet-get-too-tired shoes:

catskillsinjune : Good to know!!! I will break them in! Just hope I dont scuff them in the process, but I think the scuffs are easy to clean?

futuremrssousa : i haven’t had any issues scuffing mine in the week+ i’ve been wearing them (walking around nyc, and i’m particularly hard on shoes, fwiw). but they are leather, so you should be able to deal with scuffs on them just as well as any other soft leather. what color are you getting?? i got the rose gold glam, and they are *so yummy*

cherrymyst : i’m having the same exact problem! Badgley mischka is affordable for me but the shipping and custom from US making it quite pricey. I’m also looking for a retailer in europe.

asobos : I’ve been having the hardest time finding something I like. I’m not sure why. I’m not usually very picky when it comes to shoes, but I absolutely love those!! I just might have to order them 🙂

catskillsinjune : Good to know!! I am hard on shoes as well. I am getting them in cobalt blue, which is my main color. I can’t wait to buy them!!

karapp : Exactly my problem!! In Germany where I live they dont have any retailers so all I can do is order from somewhere…
