I’m wearing flats! Partner is just 1/2 inch taller than me, and while it normally doesn’t bother him he did specifically request that I not be taller than him on the wedding day — he was so cute about it I had to agree!

I just purchased a pair of ivory satin flats and dressed them up myself.

The bedazzled top:

And the Batman bottom (we have a “secret” theme of Batman just for partner and me to enjoy):

I’m wearing flats.  I want to be comfy all day.  Even if I decide to change out of the satin flats that I have, I can still wear something else even more comfy without a heel, because my dress will be hemmed enough.

I’m probably going to change into red flats or *gasp* red converse sneakers for the reception.
I have a history of falling while dancing in heels… and I do not want to risk the bruises!
Plus, flats are way more comfortable to dance in.

You are not alone! I am 5’10” and my gown is a perfect length for me without alterations, so I am going flat and will enjoy being comfortable!  I am going to wear blinged out flip flips for my outdoor Maui ceremony, and change into the super soft Ugg I Do Collection flip flips for the reception.  The Uggs feel like slippers- it’s like a hug for your feet!

Ugg Wedding Flip Flops: $80

Yello Box Willa Rhinestone Flip Flops: $34- $53 depending on the color

@DomesticDiva  They are style name Flower by Pink by Paradox London.  I ordered mine from Best Bridal Prices, but I’m sure you could also find them elsewhere.  They are dyable, and BBP is dying them ivory (they are white) to match my dress.

I purchased flats to wear to my ceremony (bargain at 39.95) but then they didn’t match my dress so i’m wearing them to my bridal shower instead.

I discovered this website after reading another thread a week or so ago: http://www.shoesofprey.com/.  This website lets you design your own shoes online, including flats.  I’m thinking about using this if I can’t find the color and styles I’m looking for.

I will wear flats, or if my Fiance gets his way cowboy boots. I chose flats becasue I’m only 2 nches shorter than my Fiance and also I want to be comfy!

I am definitely wearing flats for my wedding. I am 5’2″ and my guy is only 5’4″. It will also be a requirement that all bridesmaids wear flats too, because they are all 3 already taller than the both of us, and dont need to be hovering, haha.

I’m wearing flats because our ceremony is outside & I don’t want to sink in the grass or poke holes in my aisle runner. I’m thinking about getting heels for the reception but am running out of time. Plus I want to be comfortable for the long day/evening
