My Fiance and I decided we were not going to have children at our wedding reception. We were 30 ppl over our limit and at $96 per head the children under 18 were the eaisest cut. Now it’s causing drama in the family. His family wants to know if we are hiring baby sitters and guilting him by saying that his wife won’t come to the reception because she has to stay home with the kids.
My dad’s side of the family only has two kids under 18 so they don’t understand why they can’t come.
One family on my mom’s side has three kids and only one is not 18 so I am excluding one member of their family – so they say I should make the exception.
All in all we are cutting out about 10 children. If i make an exception for one or two I feel like that would make the other parents more mad at me.
I don’t know what to do. Any advice?
