Fiance and I haven’t discussed it yet, but I DO NOT want kids at our wedding. I’m mostly worried about his nephews, who are terribly behaved, acting up the entire time. They scream for attention, hit people, etc and the parents just make it worse by letting them get away with it. The mom (FI’s sister) will probably be a bridesmaid and I guarantee the kids won’t be able to handle not being with her during the ceremony. I’m also worried about my cousins. They are the exact same way, right down to the parents who let them do whatever they want because they’re special little snowflakes.
Our wedding will be a 3 hour drive for FI’s sister and Brother-In-Law. My aunt and cousins are from Boston, and honestly I don’t care if they don’t come because there’s a lot of drama there with her and my mom. It’s the others I’m worried about. Our wedding is the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend in 2014. The wedding starts at 2 and reception ends at 8.
Is it too much to ask that they leave the kids at home? What other options do I have?
