So I don’t have a middle name, just a long first name that is typically shortened, but Fiance has a long first name (normally shortened) AND 2 middle names. He doesn’t want to put them all on the invite, and only wants to use his shortened first name. I want to use my longer name, but I think it will look off if we just use his shortened first name and no middles. What does the bee think?

First and last names. You don’t need middles.

Use the names you each like. If you’re being terribly formal you can follow debrett’s guidelines but if you each have a name lay out you like use it and the designer will sort it out.

Just use both full first names and last names I think.

I would say either full first/last for both, or shortened first for both. So William Smith and Elizabeth Jones OR Will and Liz.

Haha I just didn’t want to use my shortened name, and he doesnt want to use his long name. He might be ok with using his long first name if there are no middle names though.

go with what you typically go by that’s what I would do… Fiance has one middle name and I have three.. we busted used one of my middles names( the one my parents yelled when I was in trouble lol).

We simply used the names that we most commonly go by. For me, that was my full name, and for him, that was his shortened name. Neither of us used middle names. No one has commented on it if they thought it was strange.
