Air mattress?  Where are you going to sleep when she is there?

I second the air mattress… Hell no to sleeping in the parents bed!

I would stright up tell my mom that I’m skeeved out by sleeping in my parents bed with a boy 😛

But yeah, I would suggest investing in an air mattress.

I wouldn’t mind at all. My parents have a luxurious king with amazing sheets, so I’d just be happy with getting a nice upgrade from what we’re used to. We’ve slept in FI’s mom’s bed too, and it wasn’t weird. The sheets are clean, we’re adults- no biggie.

It wouldn’t bother me at all in fact I don’t think it would occur to me that anyone would care, just me I guess 🙂

If I was your mum I would probably put the little brother in her room (on air mattress) or in the lounge and give the grown up guests the bedroom!

Haha!  My mom isn’t the only one.  We had a hotel for our wedding night, but after that we were staying in town for a while and she had suggested the we would have my parent’s room and they would use the basement (my grandparents were also staying there and staying in my old room and my sister’s old room).

Do you have a sibling?  My sister set my mom straight for me.  Thank Goodness!

@peaches13:  Maybe try and run it by your sister, she might surprise you.  Are there any friends/family you could stay with instead?

We stayed with DH’s aunt.  It was perfect, she lived just ouside the city on a acreage with a walkout basement, which we had completely to ourselves.  We went and visted with our families everyday, but we had a nice private space to retreat to at the end of the day.

I do love my sister!  She wasn’t even tactful when she told my mom that there was no way we would want to use my parent’s bedroom.

Ha ha..my mom offered the same and of course my Fiance graciously declined. The thought of sharing my parents bed with my Fiance is simply weird…lol
