Hello again, sweet bee friends!
I had the most amazing weekend, so, of course, I had to share it with the hive. My mom, dad, wife, and one of my bridesmaids and I drove up to Pennsylvania to pick up my wedding gown. As some of you may remember, I suffered a SERIOUS bout of dress regret. So, it was with no small amount of trepidation that I journeyed north.
To get us in the mood, I poppsed in the Legally Blonde Broadway soundtrack and we were off. The weather was perfect. We rented a Ford Explorer so that there would be plenty of room for everyone (and my beautiful dress).
The ride was faster than last time, and in the blink of an eye we were there. The wife had to go walk around the small town since she can’t see the dress before the big day.
As soon as the consultant opened the dress bag, I got teary-eyed. The color was even more beautiful than I remembered, and I couldn’t wait to try on a dress that actually fit. When I emerged from the dressing room, my sweet mother’s eyes also welled up with tears.
My bridesmaid and my dad were both beaming, so I knew I’d done a good job of choosing my dress. I can’t say enough good things about J&B Bridal Salon. Their prices couldn’t be beat. The customer service was exquisite, and Mallory really “got” me from the moment we began talking. She actually chose this dress for me to try on, and I’m so glad she did.
Now, Sassy Pants Pretty Girl (my dress’s name) is safely at home in my sister’s closet. The biggest dilemma is how to avoid trying her on every day for the next 10 months and 3 days.
