I so love your dress, almos induced dress regret in me.  It’s funny that you asked about a veil reccomendationa as I though you had a veil on in the photo when you have your hands in your hair.  The dress on the maniquin is tulle and it looked like and fingertip length double layer veil to me.  I think you should do something like that, or maybe a chappel length, that will play up the vintage quality of the dress.

Do you mind telling us who the designer is?

@Ms Bookworm:  I can definitely understand about the Maid/Matron of Honor not being completely on board when you show her your dress… My Maid/Matron of Honor said, “Oh, I imagined you in something more ballgown-like”. My mouth nearly dropped… When has she ever thought I’d wear a ballgown for an outdoor wedding in the middle of September?!?

I had severe dress remorse – so much so, I went back to another store to try on a dress that was the initial dress I was going to purchace. But, when I put that original dress on in the store, there was something missing. It just wasn’t what I remembered. So, I immediately went home, put my dress on, walked out and looked at myself in the mirror… I was one happy girl from that moment on.

Congrats and enjoy finding your headpiece – It can be just as much fun (or nerve-wracking) Laughing

It’s so beautiful on you!!  I love every single thing about it, absolutely…you look amazing!!  Oh, and FWIW I freaking LOVE the picture of you holding the veil.  I don’t know why, maybe it’s the funky lighting but it looks awesome!

LOL, on second thought maybe yours arms are up and there’s a clear garment bag behind you that looks like a veil?  Either way, your face has a very old school glam look to it in that one…thought I’d share.
