@mrsv2be: I second the too many wedding invitations! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I love weddings, don’t get me wrong, but for the 2nd year in a row SO and I have been to 5 weddings. We’re going to be going to multiple weddings each year for the next 5 years probably, ah well! I love ’em, just can’t afford to go to all of them!

Meh, they take up too much of my day. I don’t mind going, but I’m glad I only have 4 to go to this year, not 11 or anything

I’ll have one right after ours (my MOH!!!) but then after that none that I know of. I think I might be burnt out after that anyways. We have 6 weddings this year including ours. I will be so excited after our wedding to go to my MOHs and enjoy it as a guest and not be stressed out about the planning… but after that I might be kind of over weddings for a while.

Weddings, IMO, happen in cycles. You’ll go to more weddings.

It seems like in our group of friends there is a wedding every few years.

Friend #1 – April 2006

Friend #2 – November 2007

Friend #3 – May 2009

Us – June 2010

There are two other couples that are serious right now (both started dating a year ago and are just now moving in together).

My friends are only starting to get married, so I’ve only been to 3 in my adult years and I have one coming up this weekend.

Next year I’ll have mine and my FI’s best friend’s a month before ours, and who knows, maybe more!!! So I haven’t gotten to the part of going to too many, but I’m still excited for the few that are coming up!!!

I’ve been to 8 weddings in the past year alone, so part of me thinks I’ll be relieved when they’re over. But then really, I know that’s not true. I adore weddings and seeing my friends so happy!

We went to a wedding 2 weeks after our wedding and our next one isn’t until October. After that, I don’t know anyone who is engaged or even close to it. All of our friends and family are either married or totally single.

But I do like going to other peoples weddings, I feel like I can really appreciate them now!

I love weddings and I’ve been to a LOT the last 4 years it seems. Probably around 30. We had 7 family weddings last year, from august to our own in January. I’m a bridesmaid 5 times this year, 2 down… and we had 3 weddings to just attend this year. I love weddings–I really do, but they are expensive and sometimes take up a lot of time. I think my husband is ready to have less to attend. ๐Ÿ™‚ I think after January 15, we don’t have any on the horizon, and I think i might be out of friends to ask me to be a Bridesmaid or Best Man. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have to say, I like going to showers and weddings. And it’s fun to get dressed up and see friends so happy!

Baby showers are already starting though, from those friends who got married 4 years ago! ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s a cycle. After baby showers will come birthday parties!

We were actually the first of our his friends and in the early stages of my friends in terms of getting married.  We have a few friends who have been engaged for the past two years, and even though we were the most recent to get engaged, we were the first ones to get married!

we will probably continue to have a few (approximately 3) weddings a year for the next few years.

i expect baby showers to start in a few years also. so the beat goes on…

Weddings are totally like buses in my life. I wait around for ages for a friend of mine to get engaged and then 10 of them get engaged at once! I only have one upcoming wedding that I’m going to in the near future and that’s enough for me!
