Yes.  I had this at 30 weeks.  I went 12 hours with very minimal movement.  Call your doc.  I called mine and they had me come in immediately for a non-stress test.  The baby was fine, just sleeping a lot.  Definitely call!

@mrshersch74:  Try drinking OJ. I used to be so paranoid about that too and my ob told me to drink some oj and it worked

Definitely try some orange juice or a coke and lay down for a few minutes after and see if that sparks some movement. If not call the doctor! they will have you come in and run some tests. I’ve heard around 34 or 36 weeks though the movement slows because they just don’t have has much room to move around as they did before.

I’m 35 weeks and have felt for the last two days likebaby girl hasn’t been as active. I was actually thinking on the drive in to work this morning that maybe I would call my doctor, but I put my hand on my belly and could feel her move, so I think I’m going to hold off. I’m definitely still getting movement, she’s just not as active as before. I’m thinking it’s because she has less space… If you really aren’t noticing much movement at all though, I would call the doctor and maybe go in to get monitored. Better safe than sorry.

@mrshersch74:  Have you been doing kick counting? You want 10 kicks within 1-2 hours. The drinking OJ or coke idea is good. And as all previous posters said, call the doctor if that doesn’t help and the baby is still less active. They do get less acitve around 34 weeks cause of less room to move in there, but it’s always a good idea to call if your concerned or not sure.

I’m only 30 weeks myself, but I find my baby will go through periods of baby being super active, and then days where I feel almost nothing.  I asked my OB, and she said it was completely normal.  As others have said, try drinking OJ or coke, and then lying down.  But check with your doctor to make sure things are ok in there just to make yourself feel better.

I had this happen and my doctor told me to (1) eat something, (2) drink a bunch of water, (3) lay on my left side.  She said if I didn’t feel anything in 30 minutes, to come in.  Well, my baby moved and pretty much hasn’t stopped since.  I think it’s trying to pay me back for my worrying:)

Cold drinks help too!  Also, I’ve noticed mine not as active during the day but is at night.  Try the drink and then if you get nothing call your OB

I’ve been thinking about you and your little one all evening.  Any movement?

@mrshersch74:  i am 39 weeks and there has definitely been a decrease in movement for the past several weeks. i also assumed it was because of lack of space to move around as i read would happen around that time.  There are still moments where i get big kicks and see my stomach turn into weird shapes!
