Is anyone having this problem? We’ve gotten back about 8 RSVPs so far, and I swear three of them left the line for names blank. We’re having to look at the postmarks to try and decipher who the mystery RSVPs are from. Is anyone else having this weird issue, and does anyone have any advice?

@magicpotato: Ihave heard people talk about rumbering them for this reason!!! I guess it happens quite a bit!

I plan on numbering mine, as I’m sure this will happen to me.

Yes this is why we numbered the back of each lightly in pencil so it corresponds with our excel spreadsheet that is numbered. We addressed and matched each RSVP card with the numbers, makes life so much easier when you get a no name RSVP back

Oh what a good idea (smacks self on forehead)!

I received all kinds of stange replies… ones with no names, ones with names but they didn’t check the box for coming or not (duh people!), we even had someone reply for Mr. T and draw us a picture of Mr. T saying “I pity the fool that doesn’t come to your wedding”… but didn’t write the actual person’s name who was attending…
I put a key on the back of ours, thank goodness! My FH and I each had a separate spreadsheet, and I put numbers on the back like K20… (my list, row 20 on the spreadsheet). So all of my mysteries were solved! But of course that is part of the fun!

We numbered too. I only knew to do it bc I had a close friend that had the same problem! So frustrating!

I loled at Mr. T!
I am writing in peoples’ names – like, the head(s) of household – and providing space to write in the extra names of children/guests who will be attending.

Take a picture and shame them on Facebook. 😛 It’s sure to get the job done and be amusing to many people.

Baha! I can’t believe some of the responses y’all have been getting! Do we really need to number them? I feel a little silly knowing that we need to, even though we’re inviting adults. I guess they just forget to put names or check a box. 🙂
My mom is sending out all the invitations. I already feel bad because she has to write in how many seats are reserved on each card. I guess she needs to go ahead and number them too. I wish I wasn’t putting all that work on her!

I received this and its quite funny

We numbered our RSVPs just for this reason.. though we somehow mailed out one more invitation that I marked down so I hope I didnt mess it up.

Since I was making them myself, I just typed in each persons name. Mostly to avoid people trying to add extra guests, but also to ensure I knew who sent it!
Everyone mostly figured it out – though one person forgot to pick what they wanted to eat.
