I think we need a competition to suggest the winning dress for Pinkpearls. You don’t get to declare a win until she actually posts  POST-wedding photo of it and that must include an aisle and a groom. PS. 10% is not to be sniffed at, but if this particular shop really doesn’t have anything that’s right, you could always look elsewhere. You might find a  brand that is great value and you save so much it’s the same as if you’d had 10% off a more expensive dress. Just sayin’ !!

I like the renaissance feel of the sheath.

If the second one made you tear up, I think you should go with that one.

I too tried on a big satin ball gown that made my waist look tiny and gave off all sorts of princess vibes and everyone ooh’d and ahh’d.  I had a moment of crisis thinking damnit! I wasn’t supposed to like this and what the hell do I do now.

My consultant brought me into the room and asked me how I always pictured myself on my wedding day.  I had to admit I never saw myself as the big skirt kind of bride.  And that was that.

You have an amazing figure and you will look beautiful in anything you put on.  People all have their own opinion, and because the two dresses are so different but both look great on you it’s going to default to the voter’s personal style.

Selfishly, I want you to keep trying so I can see more!

I like the first one more on you PLUS it’s different and stands out with the design. I think the 2nd one makes you look short while the first one elongates your body.

Go with the first – and then stop looking at dresses.. I know it’s addicting but once you pull the trigger you definitely have to step away LOL.

Wear which one makes YOU feel beautiful. It’s your day. Don’t worry about anyone else.

PinkPearls:  That’s a tight timeline for a September 2016 wedding – I wouldn’t put this off too much longer. For some designers you need 6-8 month lead time, and then at least 2 alterations appointments. This doesn’t leave a large margin for error/indecision.

I think you should really check out a different area, even if you have to travel a bit.

anglogujiglamour:  yeah, I’m thinking that’s half the problem. PinkPearls’ tastes appear to be a bit edgy – Watters, Tara Keely, Hayley Paige etc – but the store she’s at  stocks fairly mainstream-style designers. She’s probably picked one of the edgier designs available to her in the Jeanette.

Hopefully the 2016 collections have the winner!
