@Ms.Sugarsnap:

I got the majority of my acceptances first, the declines took a lot longer to come in. I guess maybe people who aren’t sure if they can make it have to thinki about it a little more? I wouldn’t stress. I invited 63 and got 51 acceptances. (thank goodness!)

I got all the acceptances first and now I’m getting declines towards the end. Also we are over 20% decline rate. 🙁

Yes, I found the yes’s came first, declines trickled in afterwards.

Date twins!  I have yet to receive a decline as well. 🙁  our 125 estimate is steadily climbing.  paying for this thing ourselves is really starting to hurt.

We had quite a few people who never sent in a decline card, but then never showed up either. It was pretty annoying. I guess they thought it would be rude to send the decline card, and it would be better for them to just not show?

It wasn’t anything crazy… only like 4 or 5 people. Still, when you’re trying to budget down to the plate, that was dinner that I could have not bought them lol.

I too didn’t get the declines until pretty close to the deadline… with many of them coming after the deadline. Most of the acceptances were sent earlier. And we still have about 15 rsvps to track down.

Our deadline is next Friday and we have less than half of the RSVP cards back yet.  We have about 30 “yes” so far, which amounts to around 65 people, including ourselves.  A total of 75 invitations were sent out (for about 190 people).

The only declines we’ve received are ones that are expected and knew when I sent the invite they wouldn’t be coming.

We’ve had one decline so far.  There is a handful of people that we knew would decline (both Fiance and his brother are getting married this year, and brother’s wedding is a lot nicer, so we expect people will go to his not ours), but the decline we got wasn’t one of them!

I also got a “I’ll be there if I don’t have to work.”  What the heck kind of response is that?!

@Ennie:  A stupid one. Who does that? Might as well draw their own little box and write, “maybe”

You’re so lucky! We got FIVE declines (for our 40 person wedding) because the next day is Mother’s Day!

@BrandNewBride:  Seriously?  It’s Mother’s Day, not Christmas or Thanksgiving.  I hope I don’t get declines for that reason (then again, most of our guests are family only, so their mothers will be there).

@Ennie:  The  BEST MAN is skipping the reception because he wants to drive the 1.5 hours home THAT NIGHT so they don’t miss Mother’s Day?

And we’re having a luncheon! So there’s no real reason to skip it! But poor Fiance is HEARTBROKEN!

That’s great! I think we invited about 125ish & exactly 100 came. I don’t know that percent! Lol. I hate math!
