I was originally planning on doing out of town/welcome bags for my guests, but because of money and time, it’s starting to look like it won’t happen (FI and I are flying in from the completely other side of the country a few days before the wedding, whereas 90% of our guests are traveling less than an hour, so I don’t think anyone will blame us). But I want to make sure people have information about the shuttle that will be transporting guests from the hotel to our venue– a lot of people are staying at the hotel even though they live nearby because we have many heavy drinker friends :). Should I just rely on word of mouth (the information is on our wedding website, which honestly I don’t think people are reading)? Should I provide itineraries that the hotel hands out even though we aren’t doing whole bags? Should I assign someone to track down guests and tell them face to face? Should I try to contact people ahead of time and let them know? Ugh, this is making me want to just to Out of Town bags so that I have a good way to give the shuttle info! I guess I would just hate for the shuttle to go ununsed when we are paying so much for it.
