@chibiamelie:  What is nearby that could serve as a gathering point? Park and Ride? Train station? Mall? Airport? Parking Lot?

If it is not posted that the parking is a private spot (some groceries have it posted that parking is for shoppers only) then yes you can park there. I would even talk to some larger  businesses in the area because if you only have say 20 cars its not as big of a deal as say 100 cars. If you go with a Mall then be sure have them space out as you don’t want to fill a stores lot.

@chibiamelie:  I would speak to the management of whatever space might be available. The last thing you want is to have all your guests cars towed while they are at your wedding. They may charge a fee but honesty is always the best policy.

I say find an actual garage near the house and pay for their parking.
