When I wasn’t on BC, it would be 6-8 weeks between periods.  Just because that is how long my cycle was.  My sister’s cycle was even longer.  She was only having periods about once every three months.  She just wasn’t ovulating.

Do you know if you are ovulating?

@Happy7:  My sister charted, did body temperatures, and had the doctor check her hormone level.  She was TTC which is why she went through all the trouble.  Many women’s cycle are just NOT the perfect 28 days.  You most likely just have a longer cycle.  Wait a few weeks then call your doctor back.

@Happy7:  DATE TWINS! Lol.

I was on bcp for 12 years straight and after I stopped taking it 2 years ago I started having some scary symptoms. I hadn’t had my af for 9 months but got it last week after the dr. gave me 10 bcp’s to jump start my cycle. I have a hystery of having an effed up cycle though. I got my period when I was not even an hour old and it came back when I was 10 (just so you know how messed up it is). =/ I was also just diagnosed with pcos. This was the longest I went without and af. In the past it went as long as not getting it for 7 months.

Is there any possibility that you’re just stressing your body out? Stress is a huge factor in delay of af in a lot of women. I can attest to that!

ETA: Sorry for imposing with my little story. I just felt that it needed to be shared. I just want it to be known that no one is alone when it comes to “No period and not pregnant” posts.
