I haven’t had a period in 5 months. I went to the doctor who ran some blood tests and said everything was normal. (yet still no period!)
I have been stressing out about my missing period for ages and last night decided to do a pregnany test and an ovulation test. I’m not pregnant but there was a faint line on the ovulation test.
What . Is . Going . On???? Any suggestions?

I looked at some of your other posts, and I think this is due to your rapid weight loss. When a woman loses a significant amount of weight in a short amount of time, it confuses the body – the body wants to hold onto fat in order to carry a child properly. When you are not getting a period, it is your body telling you it is not healthy enough to support a baby. I did not have a period for over a year when I was struggling with an eating disorder. It is not healthy to go without a period, as it can weaken your bones and lead to osteoporosis. I’m surprised your doctor didn’t connect these things…

If you’re not getting a period you’re not ovulating or you’re pregnant and it seems you’re not pregnant. I would see another doctor, preferably an OB/GYN if your current doctor is PCP; if your current doctor is an OB/GYN I would suggest a reproductive endocrinologist. Just because there’s a line on the ovulation test doesn’t mean you’re ovulating. I would suggest charting and I am willing to bet your temps and CM is all over the place.
