This is just a vent, don’t be mean to me lol….
I am so sad that we couldn’t get a professional photographer, instead we asked 2 people that know how to use a camera to take pictures. I have only gotten pictures back from 1 of the 2 people. The ones we did get back there is only a few decent pictures at all… the lighting in all of them is horrible, theyre mostly all blurry and I didn’t get even almost all of the pictures that I wanted even though I gave them a pretty short list of the pictures I really wanted… I knew I couldn’t expect them to do a professional job as they are not professionals, I am just mad at myself. I hope the second persom got some good pictures… *vent over*(maybe 😉

@cyndistar3:Get in your dress again, have him in his tux or suit again, and do some portrait shots at a portrait studio. You want to at least have a few pictures you LOVE. You only need 1 or 2.
Sorry it turned out the way it did.

I got one picture that I love and a few that I am okay with lol… I am really hoping that we get a few good ones from the second person who has more skills. She hasn’t given them back because she has been editing them I guess… ? If not, I may just have to do that. I am a little sad because I didn’t really get any pictures with my bridesmaids either 🙁

If it makes you feel any better, think of all the brides who spent a small fortune on a photographer and ended up super frustrated with their photos. Paying for a professional photog is no guarantee of loving the photos!
Hope the 2nd camera turns out better :)!!

@mrsBtoBee: That is a good point but it seems like me having two non professionals was way more troublesome than it should have been. I had to try and be ready by 1 (wedding at 3) so that they could meet together before the wedding to talk about things… that made me stress so much and it made us miss so many pictures.

@ellabee: This is what my Fiance and I are going to do after the wedding a few months later when we have the extra money to splurge on a photographer that we really like. We are going to just have a close friend take the pics at the actual wedding.
@cyndistar3: I hope you find some pictures that you are happy with! 🙂
I was sad at first but had to come to terms with reality with what we could afford and what we could not. We just had to improvise. I just wish I would have hired a photographer in the early stages of planning when we had the extra money but Fiance said that his friend who does photography, would do it at no charge so we thought that would be a good idea. Wrong. The guy ended up moving away last month so we had to scramble to get someone to do it last minute.

Im so sorry that you didnt get the shots that you wanted on your wedding day!! but I would have to agree. Get dressed again and get some more shots taken of you two so you have great pictures of the two of you!

i had a top notch photographer and as mrsBtoBee pointed out, i was one of the brides who was frustrated that i didn’t get *every* picture i wanted. and i fixed it by organizing a photo shoot for really cheap. i got someone on craigslist for $80. And like you, one of the things i was most sad about was not having that many pics with my BMs. So i got them to all put their dresses on again too and we had a great time.
and i could have done it for free – i initially asked a friend to use my camera, but decided to see if there was someone affordable on craigslist and there was. And since it was not my wedding day, i felt a heck of a lot less stressed, i came prepared with a list and got the most out of the hour!
finally, in the days before this photo shoot, i felt very silly about the whole thing and wished i hadn’t booked it. But after the fact, i am of course, totally happy i did it!
