annabelle890 :  OP – whether or not you realize it, you have an extremely disempowered view of your role and position in your family and relationship and that victim perspective makes you magnetic for people (men) who would try to take advantage of that.

You have two children, now. Which means that no matter what happens in your relationship with some man, you have two little people who are counting on you to have THEIR best interests at heart, to advocate for them, and to protect them.

I mean this in the most firm and direct way possible- you need to get your priorities straight. You are a grown woman who has carried and birthed two children and you need to be prepared to take care of them as they deserve- that means some man doesn’t LET you do a damn thing. Particularly when it impacts your kids’ wellbeing.

YOU have been allowing this man to have too much power over your life, your kids’ lives and the forward progress of your relationship.

I think you need to be prepared to leave because as things currently stand (based on your description) you two are going nowhere and you’re just letting him drag you and your kids along for the ride

Lili466 :  What is with you resurrecting old threads and being nasty? Many 5-6 year olds do know about marriage and rings, especially little girls.

Lili466 :  not true – kids this age are around other kids who have parents that are married and at this point they are definitely aware of  mommy and daddy “being married” or not.

Lili466 :  5-6yo kids most certainly know about marriage, but that statement reveals how little you know about children.

And it never works well when you tell people they should or shouldn’t do something. But maybe that’s the point…the poster isn’t here any longer and cant respond to your harsh judgement.
