Like you, we are still having sex and positioning hasn’t changed. However, it is not as frequent as before we were pregnant. Before pregnancy, we were having sex like 4-5 times a week. In the beginning of pregnancy, it was maybe 3-4 times a week, give or take a little. Now, it’s once or twice a week if at all. Poor hubby! For us, it changed mostly in the last few weeks. So, I voted still having sex, but less! ๐Ÿ™‚

We’ve slowed waaay down through my entire pregnancy.  In the beginning I was so nauseous, being bouned up and down was the last thing I wanted.  Now my bump is really big and it’s hard to get comfortable.  Things have also changed down there, and it feels different…

I feel bad for the hubs, but it’s only a couple more months!

Still having sex but not as frequently – nausea and vomoting doesn’t really put me in the mood too often! ๐Ÿ™

I haven’t noticed much of a change in our sex life – if anything I probably want it more than usual lol. I’m getting pretty big though so its going to get a little more difficult in the coming weeks.

I’m 39 weeks today. Until the third trimester we were having sex 4-5 times a week. At the beginning of the 3rd tri I spent 3 weeks visiting my family in the US (away from my husband), and since I’ve been back we’ve slowed down some. I didn’t start wearing maternity clothes until the 3rd trimester because my bump just wasn’t that noticeable. Now that my stomach is in the way, our favorite position is out and I think that’s why we initially slowed down. Around week 36, I just wasn’t that interested anymore. We still do the deed twice a week, but he genereally has to do a lot of work to entice me…and we’ve had to get creative with positioning too.

We’ve had sex three times since I’ve been pregnant. ๐Ÿ™ I’ve just been so sick that it hasn’t been appealing at all and hubby has been very understanding.

@travellingfool:  Aw I’m sure he understands! I totally sympathise, vomiting and nausea just makes me want to curl up and go to sleep to escape feeling like that ๐Ÿ™‚

i find everything has changed for me in the third trimester. i had virtually no complaints in the first two (except migraines that i actually have under control now) and our sex life was the same.  third trimester i am just so much  more uncomfortable and exhausted that i just don’t feel like it. positions are definitely limited.  so although we have not stopped altogether this trimester, there has definitely been a significant decline.

@dynamic_duo:  How do you manage your migraines? I have them a ton anyhow and now I can’t take my relpax or excedrine migraine. I really would like to cut out my one cup of coffe, but when I try I get a horrid headache. Any tips appreciated.

@LuluH:  well i think i figured out that i was just a lot more sensitive to getting them than i was pre-pregnancy.  so i no longer can spend hours in the sun without drinking TONS of water.  And getting a good night’s sleep and being on a routine with when i go to bed and wake up helps prevent getting them when i am over tired. And i never gave up my one cup of coffee….partly for that reason. Also, not waiting too long before i eat is another.  basically anything that would trigger me in the past was triggering them a lot easier and quicker since being pregnant.  i don’t think i have any magical cures, i just started being more vigilant with taking care of those kinds of things.  And i have noticed they have decreased. last time i got one was when i had to drive home on a road trip with no air conditioning in the car, i got stuck in traffic and hadn’t had coffee or lunch. it was brutal.  And the one before that was when i went to the beach for 3 hours with no shade and not enough water (one bottle didn’t cut it i guess – but pre-pregnancy it would have)…..if i avoid scenarios like that, i am generally ok now.

My husband was sooooo hoping that I would be one of those women who would want more sex being pregnant!  Well, so far, no such luck – quite the opposite: Not worried if I never have sex again. Oops.

But it’s still very early days (which is why I didn’t vote either), so anything can still happen.

I’m due in 27days and were still going strong—even more so now because it helps to thin the cervix and allow for effacement. It isn’t as great, no where near where it used to be so I can’t wait until we’re done and we can get back to nonpreggo sex.
