I never heard of such a thing. And I guess we’ll just keep on shaving through each and every month LOL

It’s normally done to raise money for charity, and men grow their moustaches, and called Mo-vember! I think it’s great, it raises money for Prostate Cancer research.

As long as they are actually collecting for a cause, I’m all for it. If my Darling Husband went a month without shaving for no reason, I’d be irritated.

I’ve never heard of no shave November, but like another posted noted, my husband is currently participating in Movember and raising money for prostate cancer research.  But he still shaves the rest of his face.

FH jokes about doing it, but I know he won’t. Most of the people I know participate just to be doing it rather than for a good cause.

If FH were doing it for a good cause I wouldn’t mind but otherwise I’m not a fan of no shave November.

@joya_aspera:  You and me both, probably could braid it too! (Italian, German and frech mix) Can you imagine?

@Blush.Champagne:  We’re in the same boat, the guys at my school do it, but I’ve never heard of it being for charity!

I always think it’s fun to see everyone looking different with their beards, and then it’s fun in december when they finally shave. But towards the end of November… It’s a little awful. Darling Husband can’t do it because he’s in the military, but I don’t think I’d mind since his beard grows in a really pretty dark auburn color 🙂

Movember is pretty big here, many of the local media get involved, including the females getting a mo’ tattoo on their finger so they can hold it up to their face.

Darling Husband doesn’t get involved though, and I’m glad.  He wouldn’t be allowed to anyway, it’s a safety issue at work.  We have contributed to those doing it, but there’s diseases I would be a greater priority on.  It tends to be the cancer that men die with, not from.
