Oh right I see that now.  I was wondering how she hadnt heard of that. Thats what I was saying since we the bride/groom have to buy presents for everyone in the party.. I dont really think they should assume their being in the wedding is the gift. I think its an honor to be in someones wedding

I have been in each one of my five siblings weddings. I am a woman. And I have never given a gift or a card. It’s not my thing. It’s not important to me. In fact I find it extremely impersonal just to buy a card because it is “expected”.   Even for birthdays or christmas. Yes… It may seem rude. But to me… I give a gift whn the moment strikes. When i see something that reminds me of that person… When i know they need a pick me up….

At my wedding i can honestly give a rats behind if i get ANY gifts. What matters to me is that person being there to celebrate with me. But that’s just me.

No shows happen but don’t let ” etiquette ” or lack thereof tarnish relationships.
