That dress is beautiful! Very classic and lovely and has interest already.

My dress will have minimal to no sparkle also.

Who’s the designer?

I can’t see it b/c my browser blocks the pics but I was going to say you can totally always add sparkle to the dress if you want it! My sister got a beautiful sparkle sash and headband for her winter wedding since her dress had no sparkle to it.

That’s a great dress! It would look fine if you wanted to add sparkle, but it doesn’t need it. It’s nice enough as-is.

My dress is going to be made out of cotton, no sparkle whatsoever! I may add a belt, but I’m pretty picky about belts, so who knows if the buckle will have anything on it at all.

i love your dress! the draping adds enough to it that i think sparkle would overwhelm you! i am a simple person so all the dresses i have been looking at have had little to no glitzy glam on them and i think they look better on me with less ๐Ÿ™‚

I am a “no sparkle” dress girl too! I love dresses that show off the fabric, and shape, without too much bling. Plus you can have fun with accessories!

Your dress is timeless and beautiful!

mine had none either and it was exactly the way I wanted it!  I had no sparkles, lace, sequends, shinny material or nonsense.  thanks jcrew!

Your dress is lovely! Like the PPs said, very classy.

My dress has no sparkle either.

I think your dress is gorgeous as is.  It isn’t even a really simple/plain dress–looks like it’s shiny and has lots of beautiful detail.  Like moderdaisy said, you can always try out different belts and see if you like the look with a sparkly belt.  (Enzoani now makes lots of pretty embellished belts that are meant to go on wedding gowns.)  But a dress like that with sparkly accessories and no belt will definitely pop and still look awesome!

@HardyPooleParty: the sparkle doesnt make the dress, if you dont need it, then dont get it. Personally im not a fan of looking like a disco ball either, if you get a simple and elegant non-sparkle gown, then dress it up with some gorgeous shiney diamond studs or something like that. Your gown is amazing, dont doubt it!

@HardyPooleParty I totally agree…looking at other pics you will do the “what, why, should I, Shouldnt I” thing…its hard. I love love love your dress though…AND you are in a much better position…you have no sparkle on your dress which means you can add some if you like!!! Imagine if you had TONS and didnt want any Tongue out

My dress had no sparkle, only a little brooch, just the way i wanted it. I ended up glamming it up a bit with a cathedral veil that had rhinestones on it and a vintage glam necklace ๐Ÿ™‚

Some of the prettiest weddings I’ve seen on blogs have brides similar dressed. I think it is because they are then the sparkle, not the dress.
