There’s a few bees on here that do not have a stone.  There’s one ring that I saw today that was twisted metal that was the main focus of the ring but no stone.  Very pretty and very different.  Unfortunately being different and going against the grain will attract comments.  However, *uck em’.  If you like it and that’s what Fiance wants to get you, go for it.

Me too! This is what I want:

I know it looks like a wedding band, but I don’t care. We had promise-ring-type rings that were SS but looked like tree bark as well, and the whole “tree” motif has meaning for us. Besides, many cultures just wear a band as the e-ring and switch it to the “wedding’ hand after the wedding.

I plant to get a sparkly stacker ring (or multiple ones) as wedding ring(s). I don’t want a sticky-out stone for somehting I’m going to wear every day, doing everything. It is literally never coming off my finger.

You’re not crazy.  Simplicity can be beautiful.

@MrsSnowMountain:  I love that tree bark ring!

@MrsSnowMountain:  I also don’t mean to threadjack but one of my bands is by CJ McKay.  The tree motif has meaning for me also (my maiden name means “oaktree”) and my father passed away 10 years ago and it reminds me of him.  I have been wearing my tree bark band with a plain band (with my solitaire) b/c while I love the tree band by itself…I just feel that I need more coverage on my finger.  Here is what I’m currently wearing now… I was thinking of getting another tree bark band from CJ but haven’t decided yet.

@LJLJ:  I think a simple band is gorgeous!  You don’t need a stone!

Mrs.Lotus that looks lovely, and the meaning behind it is equally beautiful 🙂 Thanks for posting that, it’s very helpful to see what it looks like in real life.

LJLJ can we see a pic of the one you’re considering? 😛

I went sparkly for my e-ring but after the wedding I will be wearring a decorative band. People might question it while your engaged but after that no one will ask. Im sorry to all the girls who want bling but it is so inpractical for some of our lifestyles.
