Hi Date Twin! I’m sorry you’re going through this, we had to light a fire under our groomsmen’s butts too to get fitted at Men’s WearHouse.

If it’s about money, tell them that Men’s Wearhouse only requires them to put $20 down at the fitting, and pay the balance when they pick up the suit…

And that’s really crummy that no one from his family went to your shower… did your Future Mother-In-Law go?! Did they have a reason? That’s sad, I’m sorry!

Oh, and if they miss the 9/11 deadline, Men’s Wearhouse also told me that they can still get a tux up until a week before the wedding but they’d have to pay a RUSH FEE. Don’t tell them that’s an option though!

Honestly, if these guys can’t even get off their butts for measurements I wouldn’t want them in my wedding. It doesn’t matter if sides are uneven, it matters that people who care about you and would do anything for you are there on this important day. Obviously your bridesmaids are there for you and doing all the right things. Keep bugging the guys for measurements, but you aren’t their mom – they are adults and should be helping you, not making your life more stressful. I’m sorry your Fiance doesn’t have a great family or friends, but he’ll be joining your awesome family and you’ll be making your own new family. Enjoy those thoughts.

That’s one of the problems with having a large wedding party. We had 5 BM’s and 7 Groomsmen and all the Groomsmen gave us the SAME problems with ordering the tux’s. One or two of them ordered right away, but the rest waited until multiple calls/emails/texts/facespaces etc. One Groomsmen actually waited until the day BEFORE the wedding to send his measurements and place the order, the fabulous tux shop still accomodated him, but unfortunately he didn’t follow the instructions correctly and gave incorrect measurements and had to wear a tux that was too small.

I have a trouble groomsman too, my fiance’s brother!  We actually had to have his parents drive him to our place, and then be taken to the suit shop and basically baby sat until a suit was bought – by us!  He doesn’t believe in marriage, and thinks that no one else should either.  He is not helping with another other part of the wedding, and when he was told he wasn’t going to be the Best Man, he told his brother “Good!  Does that mean I don’t have to give a speech? Because I don’t believe in marriage and I don’t want to have to lie about it and pretend I do.”

Mrs. Alias:  I love that the one Groomsmen had to wear a tux that was too small!  Hilarious, and well deserved for dragging his heels!  I bet he complained about it too! lol
