We having a daytime, outdoor, slightly rustic kind of wedding. We are going to have rectangular tables made of real wood. I had already bought some burlap runners, Fiance thinks we don’t need tablecloths (probably to save money). I agree.
It would look something like this but with a wider runner. I’d probably have at least 3 jars of flowers on each table.
I don’t want it looking too brown, so I thought I would add lace or ribbon. But I don’t want it looking cheaply made either.
Having a buffet so no plates. I was thinking about having word puzzles/games as placemats. Also thinking about having ISPY cards on the runner w/ the flowers.
Anyone else not using tablecloths?

You could add doilies- either scattered the full length of the runner, or clustered around the flowers.
or add lace edging
An alternative would be to use large paper doilies as placemats and clear plates as charger plates. This would take away some of the brown.
Setting the tables with the silverware and napkin also helps to take up space and eliminates the need for guests to carry them back from the buffet along with their plate.

I like the lace trim but I can’t find much where I live. Know of any good websites?
I like the look of the last picture, maybe I could just use doilies as placemats, without the chargers. Would it be too much if I did the lace and doilies? Would I have to incorporate lace somewhere else if I lined the burlap?

You don’t have to use lace elsewhere if you don’t want to. The doily does have a complementary lacey look though.
You could add votive candles wrapped with lace and/or burlap
