My husband and I sent out our thank you’s 8 -9 months after we got married. Trust me, we did not plan that at all! What we should have done was complete them as soon as we got back from the honeymoon. Unfortunately, I kept putting it off and putting other things in front of it (like changing my name EVERYWHERE  which seems to take forever). Eventually we kept saying to each other “ok this weekend we gotta get those thank you’s done.” Then we continued to put it off. If I could rewind time, I would have made it a priority. On the flip side, I had read that you have up to a year to send a thank you. So I just took that and ran with it. But now that I’m thinking about it, I think it’s “people have up to a year to give a gift.” The thank you probably should have been done sooner. Oh well, nothing i can do about it now. Lesson learned. And if/when i have a baby shower, I will absolutely 100% make it a priority.
